Low Carb Breakfast Recipes
I don’t eat breakfast very often during the workweek; I just have whole cream in my coffee and a few slices of bacon. On the weekends I might splurge. Many low carb breakfasts may include “bulletproof” coffee, where people will add coconut oil to their coffee. Because I make iced coffee every day, I use whole cream for the added fat (as coconut oil would re-solidify into little chunks. Trust me, I found this out the hard way).

Avoid fruit juices, such as orange juice, which are extremely high in sugar. This can include fruit smoothies as well, as they are not low carb and can spike your blood sugar. Low carb breakfast recipes should be low in carbohydrates and high in fat, to keep you full all morning.
If you need a good “on the go” low carb breakfast recipe for your daily commute, I strongly recommend the Egg Bacon Muffins. I make a batch of six on Sunday nights and eat one a day on my commute. Thirty seconds in the microwave, and they are good to go. I keep a towel in the car just to keep bacon grease off my clothes! Hah!
