I got a Pattypan Squash in my CSA box the other day. I’ve never seen one before, much less cooked with one. While playing around with the squash, I realized it heavily resembled a ghost from Pacman. What a cute squash!
From what I’ve read, they don’t have much taste. I am going to bake it and scoop out the insides, and use it to serve other food in for a presentation-win. I’ve done this before with acorn squash and pumpkins and it comes out super tasty.
In fact, I also got an eggplant I want to roast up, scoop out the insides, mix those insides with something else and then serve it all in the empty husk of the eggplant.
This all sounds so morbid – squash and veggie lobotomies! BWUAHAHAHAH My kitchen has become a laboratory of doooooooooom!
